1. Right-click on the C-Cloud icon in the system tray, and select the Open Dashboard option.
2. From C-Cloud dashboard, click on Data Selection.
3. To backup that drive, refer to the My Computer tab, and select the wanted data.
   If you are a C-Cloud Business user and wants to backup the data to the Cold Storage; refer to the Cold Storage tab tab, click on the Add File/Add Folder button, select the wanted data, and click OK.
4. Click on the Save button.

In C-Cloud Business, selecting the same data from both My Computer and Cold Storage tabs, will make your data uploaded to the Instant Storage not to the Cold Storage.

Your plan should contains Instant Storage if you wish to use the My Computer tab to select the data to be backed up. Otherwise, you’ll need to select the data from the Cold Storage tab.

 

Method 2: Using the Windows Explorer options

From your Windows explorer, right-click the wanted drive/file/folder, and select the Add to Backup option. Now you can select whether you want to add the data:

• To Instant Storage: Your data will be uploaded to the Instant Storage.
• To Cold Storage: Your data will be uploaded to the Cold Storage.

If you want to use this way to backup a network location, you’ll need to map that network location and let it save its credentials.

If you can’t see the context (right click) menu options, you can enable it in C-Cloud client settings.

The Instant storage option will appear only for the C-Cloud Business users who purchased instant storage.

Method 3: Using the Website

1. Sign in to your C-Cloud online account.
2. Refer to the Policies tab.
3. Create a new policy, or select to edit an existing one.
4. From the Manual Selections part, you can manually add files/folders paths.
5. Click the Save button to confirm the changes.
6. Assign the policy to the wanted user.

This method is only available for C-Cloud Business users.

This also applies to C-Cloud Intelligent

1. Drag-drop the files into the No-CCloud Zone folder on your desktop.
2. Delete the files from C-Cloud site My Computers section.
3. Use the File Filters.
4. Edit the assigned policy.
5. Using the option Remove from backup in the context menu. This will also delete these files from the backup.
6. Open C-Cloud client on your machine → Settings → Preferences → Refer to the Auto-exclude tab → Click on Add to add the files/folders you want to exclude.

1. Right-click on the C-Cloud icon in the system tray (taskbar), and select the Open Dashboard option.
2. From C-Cloud dashboard, click on Data Selection.
3. Click on File Filters.
4. In the File Filters window, click on the Add button.
5. Select one of the following options:
   • All Selections (All files, Folders, and Smart Selections): Apply created filter to all the data selected in the backup.
   • Specific Path: Apply the created filter to the files in this location only.
6. Select one of the following two options:
   • Include only the following extensions or expressions.
   • Exclude only the following extensions or expressions.
7. Type in the extensions or the regular expression.
8. If you like to exclude files depending on their date or size, check the boxes next to:
   • Do not backup files larger than…
   • Do not backup files older than …

   

9. Save your settings.

Method 2: Using the website

1. Sign in to your C-Cloud online account.
2. Refer to the Policies tab.
3. Create a new policy or click on the Edit button next to the policy name you wish to edit.
4. Go to the Extensions tab.
5. In the blank box, type the extensions of the files that you want to exclude from the backup, separated by semicolons. (For example: *.exe;*.html;*.docx)
6. If you want to exclude the content of a specific folder, then you can use the Exclude By Folders part of the Global Exclude tab; just type the folder’s path.
   
7. Also from the Cold Storage Data and Instant Storage Data tab, when you add a folder\drive by entering its path’s manually, you can use the Filters button.
   
8. Then include/exclude files using their extensions or the regular expressions.
   
9. Click on the Save button to save the changes.
10. Assign this policy to the wanted users.

Policies are only available in C-Cloud Business.

1. Right-click on the C-Cloud icon in the system tray, and select the Open Dashboard option.
2. From C-Cloud dashboard, click on Data Selection.
3. Click on File Filters.
4. Click the Add button to add new filter, or click the Edit button to edit one of the existing filters.
5. Check the Regular Expression box beside the option of including or excluding file types or expressions, and type the wanted regular expression.
6. Save your changes.

1. During the backup configuration, you will be asked to select what you wish to back up.
2. Right-click the files or folders on your computer, and select Add to C-Cloud or Remove from C-Cloud.
3. Assign a policy for the user.

If you are a C-Cloud Home user or if no policy is assigned to your Business user account, you can at anytime modify your data selections by opening C-Cloud client on your machine → From the dashboard, click on Data Selections.

Policies are available only for C-Cloud Business accounts.

To Add a File, Folder, Network or External drive:

Right-click the file or folder you wish to add →Select Add to backup.

To remove any File, Folder, Network or external drive:

Simply right-click the file, folder, or drive you wish to remove → Select Remove from backup.

C-Cloud context menu can be enabled/disabled in C-Cloud client settings.
