{"id":194,"date":"2016-07-13T10:21:07","date_gmt":"2016-07-13T10:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/?p=194"},"modified":"2017-10-03T12:37:10","modified_gmt":"2017-10-03T11:37:10","slug":"why-the-files-in-the-pending-list-do-not-get-uploaded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/why-the-files-in-the-pending-list-do-not-get-uploaded\/","title":{"rendered":"Why the files in the pending list do not get uploaded?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After running a backup, you might find files in the pending files list which haven\u2019t been uploaded for one of the following reasons:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The pending files are <a href=\"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/block-level-technology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Block Level<\/a> files: By default, C-Cloud will upload the Block Level\u00a0files once every 24 hours, so you\u2019ll need to give C-Cloud\u00a0some more time, and those files in the Pending list will be uploaded.<br \/>\nHowever, if you are a Business user, then you can change the frequency at which C-Cloud\u00a0uploads the Block Level\u00a0files by <a href=\"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/how-can-i-create-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">creating a policy<\/a>, changing the <strong>Backup Block Level files<\/strong>frequency from under the <strong>Settings<\/strong> tab of this policy, and <a href=\"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/how-can-i-assign-users-to-specific-policy-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">assigning this policy to any of your users<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Failed to copy: This occurs if C-Cloud\u00a0failed to copy the files\u00a0to the cache folder to prepare them before the upload. To solve this problem:\n<ul>\n<li>Check the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS): C-Cloud\u00a0uses this service to back up opened and locked files, so check if this service is running on your machine, or if it needs repairing, follow the steps <a href=\"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/troubleshooting-vss-issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<br \/>\nIf this file is always open or in use by other programs, you can add it to the<a href=\"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/backing-up-open-files-vss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> VSS extensions list in C-Cloud\u00a0<\/a>which will force using the VSS service on these files each time they get backed up.<\/li>\n<li>Check the free space on the drive that holds the cache folder: For more information, click <a href=\"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/where-does-c-cloud-store-the-temporary-files-during-the-backup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you have full permissions or at least the read permission on\u00a0the file, folder or directory that you want to back up. <a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/308419\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This article <\/a>explains how to do that.<\/li>\n<li>If the file in the list is stored on a network or external drive, make sure that this drive is connected and accessible and the file is not used by any other process at that time as these files will not be copied by VSS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Failed to upload: Files might stay in the pending files list if there is a problem in uploading them. This can be fixed by doing the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Check your Internet\u00a0connection and if you have set any special rules on your router that might be preventing C-Cloud\u00a0from uploading files.<\/li>\n<li>Check your firewall and exclude C-Cloud\u00a0from being scanned by your anti-virus. You can find in<a href=\"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/the-website-and-software-are-blocked-why-is-that\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> this article<\/a> the steps to do that.<\/li>\n<li>Try to enable\/disable using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) within C-Cloud. You can find this option in C-Cloud\u00a0client (software) under\u00a0<strong>Settings\u00a0\u2192<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Speed\u00a0<\/strong>or in the<strong>Policies<\/strong> tab on the web \u2192 under\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u00a0\u2192\u00a0<strong>Security Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Finally, keep in mind that on each run, C-Cloud\u00a0will try again to re-upload these files.
