{"id":236,"date":"2016-07-13T11:06:43","date_gmt":"2016-07-13T11:06:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/?p=236"},"modified":"2016-11-13T05:58:32","modified_gmt":"2016-11-13T04:58:32","slug":"i-receive-the-error-failed-to-connect-to-server-please-check-your-connection-and-firewall-settings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/compa.hr\/ccloudwiki\/en\/i-receive-the-error-failed-to-connect-to-server-please-check-your-connection-and-firewall-settings\/","title":{"rendered":"I receive the error: Failed to connect to server, Please check your connection and firewall settings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This message means that your computer could not communicate properly with our servers or you have a missing component.\u00a0To solve this, please follow the instructions below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Check your <strong>Firewall<\/strong> or <strong>Antivirus<\/strong> software: C-Cloud\u00a0is a backup software, meaning that it needs to check your files for changes and modifications and communicate with the server to check the current backup state.While this is a normal behavior for a backup software, some Antivirus software might think it is suspicious and constantly scan C-Cloud\u2019s application files and folders, thus, making it harder to scan the files and sometimes impossible to communicate to the server.Please try to\u00a0exclude the following files\/folders from your Antivirus:\n<ul>\n<li>C:\\Program Files\\CCloud<\/li>\n<li>C:\\Users\\UserName\\AppData\\Roaming\\CCloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also make sure that you have the TCP ports 80 and 443 open and available through your Firewall.<\/li>\n<li>Install the .Net Framework package required for your operating system from the following links:\n<ul>\n<li>For Windows XP:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=1639\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">Download link<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For Windows Vista:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=21\" target=\"_blank\">Download link<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For Windows 7 and 8 : <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=17718\" target=\"_blank\">Download link<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you already have the correct version installed, or the installer above didn\u2019t solve the problem, please repair your .Net Installation using this utility: <a title=\"Download Link\" href=\"http:\/\/download.microsoft.com\/download\/2\/B\/D\/2BDE5459-2225-48B8-830C-AE19CAF038F1\/NetFxRepairTool.exe\">Download Link<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once the download is complete, please run the tool and follow the steps on your screen to repair your .NET Framework installation.<\/li>\n<li>Install the required C++ Redistributables from the links below:\n<ul>\n<li>For 64-bit System Architecture: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=14632\" target=\"_blank\">Click Here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For 32-bit System Architecture: <a title=\"Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=5555\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">Click Here<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If non of the above fixes the issue, please do the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Using a Windows user account that has administrative credentials, log on to the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Press the <strong>Windows + R<\/strong> keys on your keyboard to open the Run box \u2192 Type\u00a0<b>gpedit.msc<\/b>\u00a0and then press ENTER.<\/li>\n<li>In the Local Group Policy Editor, under the\u00a0<b>Computer Configuration<\/b>\u00a0node, double-click <b>Windows Settings<\/b>, and then double-click\u00a0<b>Security Settings<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Under the Security Settings node, double-click\u00a0<b>Local Policies<\/b>, and then click\u00a0<b>Security Options<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><u><\/u>In the details pane, double-click\u00a0<b>System cryptography: Use FIPS-compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>System cryptography: Use FIPS-compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing<\/strong> dialog box, click\u00a0<b>Disabled<\/b>, and then click\u00a0<b>OK<\/b>\u00a0to close the dialog box.<\/li>\n<li>Close the Local Group Policy Editor.<\/li>\n<li>Exit C-Cloud. (Right-click C-Cloud agent (icon) in the system tray (Taskbar) \u2192 Exit)<\/li>\n<li>Start C-Cloud again.
